Exponent a) einer Potenz ist die Zahl, die angibt, wie oft die Basis als Faktor in einem Produkt genommen werden muß, um die Potenz zu erhalten; b) einer Wurzel (Wurzelexponent) ist die Zahl, mit der man dieselbe potenzieren muß, um die Baus zu erhalten; c) eines Punktes A in bezug auf ein Punktepaar BC ist das Abstandsverhältnis AB/AC.
