Amplitude, wird in der Mathematik in verschiedenen Fällen als Bezeichnung für Winkel von spezieller Bedeutung gebraucht.

So nennen manche Amplitude einer komplexen Zahl (a + ib) den durch die Gleichung a + ib = r (cosφ + isinφ) – r positiv reell – definierten Winkel φ ferner heißt bei einem bestimmten elliptischen Integral erster Gattung der Form

die obere Grenze φ die Amplitude des Integralwertes u für den Modul k, geschrieben φ = am (u, k), welchen Beispielen noch weitere hinzugefügt werden könnten.
