Gallium

Gallium Ga (Atomgew. 69,9, spez. Gew. 5,9), sehr seltenes, im Jahre 1875 von Lecocq de Boisbaudran in Zinkblende mittels der Spektralanalyse entdecktes weißes Metall, bei 30° C. bereits schmelzend. In Salzsäure, Ammoniak und Kalilauge löslich. Mit Aluminium geht es Legierungen ein und zeigt viel Aehnlichkeit mit dem Aluminium hinsichtlich seines chemischen Verhaltens.
