Naphtha, ursprünglich Bezeichnung für Schwefeläther (N. vitrioli), jetzt für sehr leicht entzündliche und flüchtige Flüssigkeiten, insbesondere für die niedrig siedenden Anteile des Rohpetroleums und des Steinkohlenteers.
