Ingot

Ingot (englisch), Bezeichnung für Flußeisen- und Flußstahlblöcke nach ihrer Herstellung durch Eingießen und Erstarrenlassen in Kokillen (s.d.) und vor ihrer Weiterverarbeitung. Die deutsche Bezeichnung ist Block, für Ingots, die zur Herstellung von Blechen und Panzerplatten bestimmt sind, Bramme.
